Taliban Government Announces Closure of NGOs Employing Women in Afghanistan

The Taliban government has announced the closure of all national and foreign nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) that employ women in Afghanistan.

The Ministry of Economy warned that failure to comply with this directive would result in organizations losing their licenses to operate in the country.

This move follows a previous order issued by the Taliban two years ago, which mandated NGOs to suspend the employment of Afghan women.
