Three foreigners have died and seven others were injured in a fire that broke out at a hotel near the famous Khao San area in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Bangkok Fire and Rescue Department reported that the fire ignited on the fifth floor of the six-story Ember Hotel. A woman died at the scene, while two men passed away in the hospital after arriving in critical condition.
Authorities are still investigating the nationalities of the victims and working to determine the cause of the fire.
Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt noted that the authorities responded quickly, but the spread of smoke made it difficult to control the situation.
