Civil War in Sudan: Over 12 Million Displaced and Tens of Thousands Killed

The civil war in Sudan has resulted in widespread violence, death, and hunger, with tens of thousands of civilians killed and more than 12 million people displaced.

More than half of the population suffers from food insecurity, with 24 million people facing severe food shortages.

The conflict began on April 15 of last year between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces, leading to serious human rights violations.

Human Rights Watch has accused the Rapid Support Forces of committing ethnic cleansing in Darfur, while the Sudanese Armed Forces have been accused of bombing civilian areas.
