Libya won three awards at the Al-Ahram International Olive Oil Competition 2025 held in Egypt, with 193 samples from 20 countries participating.

“Al-Muzar” company from Zawiya won the gold medal, while “Al-Sahl Al-Muttahid” from Misrata and “Libya Green” from Tripoli received silver medals.

The Libyan Export Development Center emphasized that this achievement reflects the high quality and  competitiveness of Libyan olive oil.

Additionally, Libya won the presidency of the International Olive Council under the UN, and the council accredited laboratories in Tripoli to boost olive oil exports.
