Police in Las Vegas have announced that a Tesla CyberTrak pickup truck exploded in front of the Trump Hotel in the US city, killing one person, injuring seven others and forcing the evacuation of the hotel.

Police said they were still investigating to determine the cause of the explosion.
According to the police chief, the electric car stopped at the glass gate of the Trump International Hotel and then there was a ‘big explosion’.

Musk, who was appointed by Trump to head a commission to cut federal spending, said he would release more information on the situation as it became available.
