Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit Namibia, the Republic of Congo, Chad and Nigeria from 5 to 11 January at the invitation of these countries, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said today (Friday).

This is the 35th consecutive year that China’s foreign ministers have chosen Africa as the destination for their first overseas trip at the beginning of the year, Mao said.
