Massive Protests in Seoul Demand Investigation into Ousted President Yoon Seok-youl

Thousands of protesters in South Korea who opposed ousted President Yoon Seok-youl demonstrated in the capital, Seoul, after authorities failed to execute an arrest warrant against the suspended leader due to his brief announcement of martial law last month.

Protesters clashed outside the presidential office and on major roads in the South Korean capital, demanding Yoon’s arrest.

Prosecutors have requested the acting president to issue an order for security forces to comply with the arrest warrant against Yoon.
