Thousands demonstrated in Bratislava on Friday against Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico due to his pro-Moscow stance and his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin last month.

The protests followed Fico’s threat to cut financial aid to over 130,000 Ukrainian refugees in the country in response to Ukraine’s decision to halt the delivery of Russian gas to Slovakia.
