German Chancellor Olaf Scholz dismissed comments made by SpaceX founder Elon Musk, deeming them unimportant, but expressed concern over Musk’s support for the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party.

Scholz stated that he remains “calm” in response to Musk’s criticisms, referring to him as an “idiot” following the collapse of his coalition government in November.

Musk’s endorsement of the AfD came in an op-ed published in a major German newspaper, raising Scholz’s concerns about foreign influence in the upcoming general elections.
