South Korea’s anti-corruption authorities said Monday that they have notified police that they will hand over the execution of an arrest warrant for ousted President Yoon Suk-yol.
On Sunday, South Korea’s presidential guard refused to cooperate with other officials trying to execute an arrest warrant for suspended President Yun Suk-yol, according to Reuters.
This comes amid a legal debate over the legality of executing the president’s arrest warrant.
Yun became the first sitting president to be arrested for attempting to declare martial law on Dec. 3.
