Members of the European Parliament are urging the European Commission to investigate Elon Musk’s attempts to influence the upcoming German elections scheduled for February.

Concerns have been raised regarding Musk organizing a live-streamed event with Alice Weidel, the leader of the Alternative for Germany party, set to take place on Thursday.

Lawmakers are also questioning Musk’s ties to the Italian government regarding SpaceX, amid fears of foreign interference in European political processes.
