Electric vehicle sales in Germany dropped by 27.5% in 2024, with only 380,600 cars licensed. The share of electric vehicles in total sales fell to 13.5%, compared to 18.4% in 2023.
Experts attribute the decline to the end of government incentives for purchasing electric cars at the end of 2023, which created uncertainty among potential buyers.
