Dozens protested on Monday evening against the head of the “Government of National Unity” Abdulhamid Dbeibah, following statements made by the ousted Foreign Minister Najla Al-Mangoush regarding her meeting with former israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen in Rome in August 2023

In an interview broadcast on “Platform 360” affiliated with Al Jazeera, Al-Mangoush confirmed that the meeting was coordinated between the Israeli side and the Government of National Unity, emphasizing that she was not involved in arranging the meeting but merely conveyed the message

Pages on social media circulated calls to protest against Dbeibah, accusing him of normalizing relations with Israel.

Dbeibah, on the other hand, denied any knowledge of the meeting during an interview at the Government Communication Forum in December, affirming that if he had known about it, he would have openly and transparently declared it
