During a meeting with Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, the new head of administration in Syria, Ahmad al-Shara, affirmed that Syria stands at an “equal distance” from the Lebanese people.

The meeting took place in Damascus and was Mikati’s first visit in 14 years, addressing issues related to Syrian refugees and the procedures for citizens’ entry between the two countries.
