The state of Brandenburg has imposed a 72-hour ban on the transport of animals following the discovery of foot-and-mouth disease in a herd of buffalo near Berlin.

The ban includes cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, and camels. Some animals have been confirmed to be infected with the disease, prompting the culling of the remaining herd and other precautionary measures.
