Netanyahu Sends Mossad Chief to Qatar as Trump Intervenes in Hostage Issue

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office announced that he has decided to send the head of Mossad to Qatar for talks regarding the hostages held in the Gaza Strip.

An Israeli source revealed on Saturday that U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has begun to personally intervene in the matter of the hostages’ release.

According to Israeli Channel 12, Trump is interested in finalizing the agreement before he takes office on January 20.

Current proposals in the ceasefire talks for Gaza include a complete withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from the Philadelphi Route and the Netzarim crossing, with multiple phases involving partial troop withdrawals and the maintenance of observation points.
