Egypt will host the 56th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair on January 23, continuing until February 6, under the theme “Read… In the Beginning Was the Word.”

This annual cultural event, one of the most prominent in the Arab world, will feature more than 6,000 exhibitors from 80 countries. This year, Oman will be the guest of honor.

To mark the occasion, the distinguished scholar and thinker Dr. Ahmed Mosteghier has been chosen as the fair’s personality of the year.

Additionally, to promote culture, Egypt’s Ministry of Culture will gift one million books to the Egyptian public, making this event a special cultural occasion that connects thought and creativity across generations.
