The National Salvation Front, an opposition coalition in Tunisia, has called for protests tomorrow, January 14, to mark the 14th anniversary of the revolution, in response to what they describe as “the alarming regression of rights and freedoms under President Kais Saied’s rule.”
The coalition also urged the release of political prisoners and the commitment to defending the democratic process.
The National Salvation Front includes the Ennahda Movement, Heart of Tunisia, Tunisia’s Will Movement, the Karama Coalition, the Hope Party, the “Citizens Against the Coup” coalition, and the “Meeting Initiative for Tunisia,” along with various opponents, figures, and former deputies.
