French President Emmanuel Macron will visit Lebanon next Friday, marking the first visit by a head of state since the election of Joseph Aoun as president.

This visit comes at a sensitive time, as France aims to support Lebanon in overcoming its political and economic crises, as well as to enhance its stability by encouraging the formation of a united and strong government.

It also presents an opportunity to follow up on the implementation of the ceasefire agreement between Hezbollah and Israel, which was reached under international mediation, as part of France’s continued support for Lebanon’s reform path.
