NATO Takes Military Action in the Baltic Sea After Damage to Vital Undersea Cables

NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, stated on Tuesday that the alliance plans to deploy ships, aircraft, and drones in the Baltic Sea to address the damage caused to undersea cables, which are suspected to have been targeted by Russia.
This announcement came after a meeting of defense ministers from Baltic Sea countries in Helsinki. Stoltenberg explained that NATO will focus on using appropriate military assets in the right places to deter any future threats.
He also noted that the deployment of a fleet of maritime drones will enhance surveillance and increase deterrence capabilities, adding that the operation will continue indefinitely.
