The Pakistani army today announced the elimination of eight militants in two separate operations in the northwest of the country.
The army said in a statement that security forces carried out the two operations based on intelligence information in Tank and Khyber districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in the northwest of the country and managed to eliminate eight militants, according to the Pakistan News Agency.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has witnessed significant security developments, with a number of clashes between regular forces and armed groups that have claimed the lives of dozens of civilians and soldiers.
