Heathrow Airport in London set a new record for traffic in 2024, welcoming 83.9 million passengers, surpassing pre-COVID-19 levels.

The airport also recorded over 7 million passengers in December, marking its highest-ever monthly traffic. As part of its growth plans, the airport aims to increase passenger numbers in 2025, with a €2.7 billion investment to modernize its facilities and improve services.

By the end of 2024, the airport completed the acquisition of 38% of its stake by French company Ardian and the Saudi Public Investment Fund.
