Syria: Boosting Security in Damascus and Hama Amid Reconciliation Efforts in the Coast

Meetings were held in Latakia today between Alawite leaders and the governors of Tartus and Latakia for community reconciliation after violent clashes between security forces and pro-regime armed groups, resulting in two deaths and seven security personnel captured.
Security forces later conducted raids in Damascus and its countryside, arresting 16 individuals and seizing weapons.
In a separate incident, a fight broke out in the Qassaa neighborhood after attempts to convert locals to Islam, but security forces quickly contained the situation.
