Iranian President Masoud Bazeshkian arrived in Russia on Friday morning for an official visit.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Bazhkian will sign the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement, which will replace the current document on the foundations of relations and principles of cooperation between Russia and Iran, signed in Moscow in 2001.

The agreement consists of 47 articles covering various areas, from the economy to political relations, intergovernmental relations, activities in international organisations, economic cooperation, implementation of projects and bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
