Ben-Gvir Resigns from Netanyahu’s Government Over Gaza Ceasefire Agreement

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir resigned from Netanyahu’s government on Saturday in protest of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, considering it a threat to the achievements of the war.
In this context, Ben-Gvir called for a complete halt to humanitarian aid to Gaza to pressure Hamas to release the hostages.
Meanwhile, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich affirmed Netanyahu’s commitment to gradually controlling the Gaza Strip.
It is noted that the agreement, which came into effect on Sunday, includes a prisoner exchange between Israel and Hamas and ends more than 15 months of fighting.
