The Nigerian Federal Road Safety Corps reported on Saturday that an explosion of a fuel tanker in the northern part of the country resulted in 60 deaths and several injuries.

This incident follows a similar explosion in Jigawa State in October last year, which claimed the lives of 147 people.

This comes amid Nigeria’s ongoing economic crisis and a significant rise in fuel prices.
