The elected US president, Donald Trump, stated that it is likely he will delay the ban of TikTok in the United States for 90 days after taking office on Monday.

He clarified in an interview with NBC that he will announce the decision if made, noting that the issue needs to be carefully examined.

Meanwhile, TikTok stated that it would have to shut down the app in the US if the ban is not avoided, after the US Supreme Court upheld a law

banning the app, which could deprive 170 million users of access.
