Italian company ENI and French company Total Energies announced new exploration projects in Libya during the “Libya Energy and Economy Summit 2025” in Tripoli. International oil companies such as OMV, Repsol, and Nabors also revealed projects and strategies to enhance production in the country.

In this context, Total highlighted a new onshore exploration project in the Sirte and Murzuq basins, in addition to offshore projects in Waha and Sharara.
Meanwhile, ENI expressed optimism about Libya’s energy potential and unveiled three new exploration projects.
Repsol’s director confirmed the company’s commitment to enhancing exploration activities and increasing production in Libya, noting that the goal of 2 million barrels per day is achievable.
Meanwhile, Nabors’ Vice President emphasized the importance of innovation to boost production and accelerate exploration.
