The High National Elections Commission in Libya announced today, Sunday, the launch of the second round of municipal elections, which will involve 63 municipalities whose legal terms have expired.

Voter registration will begin today and continue until February 8. The commission is working to ensure that the electoral process proceeds according to the established regulations.

In a related development, Libyan officials discussed with the British Ambassador in Tripoli ways to advance the political process toward upcoming elections and achieve consensus among the concerned parties.
