Syria Rejects Kurdish Forces as Military Bloc in Defense Ministry

The Syrian Defense Minister, Marhaf Abu Qusra, confirmed on Sunday that it is not possible for Kurdish forces in northeastern Syria to remain as a military bloc within the Syrian army, explaining that the Syrian Democratic Forces are procrastinating in addressing this issue.
Abu Qusra added that these forces should be integrated into the Ministry of Defense’s structure according to established military standards, without being an independent bloc within the military institution.
He also pointed out that efforts to integrate anti-Assad factions face significant challenges, emphasizing that the priority is to achieve full integration of all areas under the new administration.
