A consultant to Iran’s Minister of Health stated that Iran has performed 1,500 surgeries to treat 500 victims of the “Pager” attacks that targeted the southern suburbs of Beirut last September.
He added that 500 Lebanese wounded individuals were transferred to Iranian hospitals during the first week of the attack, which resulted in nearly 40 deaths and over 3,400 injuries.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard also held a ceremony to honor the medical teams who helped treat the wounded. In this context, IRGC Commander Hossein Salami described the attack as a terrorist act aimed at destabilizing Lebanon and reaffirmed Iran’s continued support for resistance movements in the region.
