Russia’s defence ministry said on Friday it had shot down 120 Ukrainian drones over 12 regions, including Moscow, overnight in one of the largest such attacks on Russian territory since the war in Ukraine began.
The ministry said in a statement that air defence forces had ‘intercepted and destroyed’ 120 drones, most of them over Russian regions near the border with Ukraine and also over the capital Moscow, in addition to another drone over Crimea, which Russia annexed in 2014.
Russian media reported damage in many areas.
