The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, handed over the four Israeli female prisoners to the International Red Cross at Palestine Square in Gaza, in the presence of a large crowd and a large deployment of the Brigades’ operatives.
The prisoners, Daniela Gilboa, Naama Levy, Karina Aref and Liri Elbag, came out wearing Israeli military uniforms.
They were handed over to Red Cross representatives after signing the transfer documents.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Affairs Authority, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club and the Prisoners’ Media Bureau published the names of the Palestinian prisoners released in the second batch of the first phase of the exchange deal, which includes 200 male and female prisoners.
Al-Qassam Brigades and al-Quds Brigades were heavily deployed in Palestine Square in Gaza City ahead of the handover of the Israeli prisoners.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army said on Saturday that it had completed its preparations to receive the returning female prisoners from Gaza in preparation for the implementation of the second instalment of the exchange deal with Hamas as part of the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
