Sudanese army retakes its headquarters

The Sudanese army announced on Friday that it had broken the siege imposed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on its headquarters in the centre of Khartoum and completed the second phase of its operations, as the forces of the Bahri axis converged with the forces stationed at the General Command, after also breaking the siege on the headquarters of the Signal Corps in Bahri.

The convergence of the army’s forces means linking its rings in the three cities of the capital, Khartoum, Omdurman and Bahri. For its part, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) denied the reports, describing them as media misinformation by pro-army parties.

The signal corps headquarters and the army headquarters in central Khartoum are separated by the Blue Nile River and connected by the Blue Nile Bridge, which is controlled by the RSF on its eastern side.
