The Moroccan capital, Rabat, will host tomorrow, Monday, the draw ceremony for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026. The tournament will feature 24 teams from some of the best African sides, including 6 Arab teams, and the matches will be held in 6 Moroccan cities.
The draw will also witness the presence of prominent figures from the world of football, including Confederation of African Football (CAF) President Patrice Motsepe, along with football legends such as Essam El-Hadary, Patrick Mboma, and Ayman Mathlouthi.
The first pot of the draw will include teams such as Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Algeria, Nigeria, and Ivory Coast, while the fourth pot will feature teams like Mozambique and Comoros.
Morocco finished at the top of their group with 18 points, while Algeria and Senegal secured second place with 16 points each. Additionally, 12 teams from the 24 that qualified have won a significant number of titles throughout the history of the tournament.
