Massive Protest in Athens Demands Justice for Railway Disaster Victims

Tens of thousands of protesters gathered outside the Greek parliament in Athens on Sunday, demanding justice for the victims of the country’s worst railway disaster nearly two years ago.

This demonstration, one of the largest in recent years, followed local media’s release of an audio recording suggesting that some of the 57 victims may have survived the collision but died in a fire of unknown origin that burned for over an hour after the crash.
