At least 27 Nigerian soldiers have been killed and others seriously injured in a suicide attack in the northeast of the country, according to military sources.

The attack was carried out by a suicide bomber using an explosive-laden vehicle, targeting a convoy of mobile troops. This assault follows the military’s launch of a ground campaign against the stronghold of ISIS – West Africa Province.
