Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will arrive in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday for an official visit during which he will meet with senior Saudi officials to discuss bilateral relations and key regional issues.
According to Turkish diplomatic sources, Fidan is expected to stress that political relations between the two countries are growing stronger by the day and that Ankara wants to increase the rapidly growing volume of trade with the Kingdom.
Fidan is expected to point out that the Turkish-Saudi Coordination Council is an important mechanism that paves the way for deepening bilateral cooperation and exploring new areas of cooperation between the two sides.
Fidan will also stress the importance Turkey attaches to working with Saudi Arabia to lift sanctions on Syria and the need for the international community to increase pressure on Israel to make the ceasefire in Gaza permanent.
