18 people killed in plane crash in South Sudan

A plane carrying 21 passengers and crew has crashed in South Sudan’s Unity State, killing 18 people, UN Radio Miraya reported on Wednesday.

Radio Miraya, which is run by the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), added that the plane took off from an oil field in the northern part of the state before crashing.

There was no immediate comment from the authorities.
