The United States has urged its citizens in the Democratic Republic of Congo to leave the country amid clashes in the eastern city of Goma.
The US embassy in Kinshasa issued a statement on Tuesday warning of an increase in violence in the Congolese capital.
For her part, DRC Foreign Minister Thérèse Kayikwamba Wagner called on the UN Security Council to take action to stop the ongoing clashes.
