A Ukrainian drone was shot down as it attempted to attack a nuclear power plant in the region, the governor of Russia’s Smolensk region, Vasily Anokhin, said today (Wednesday).

No injuries or damage were reported, Anokhin said on his Telegram channel.

Several civilian sites in the region were subjected to a large-scale drone attack, he said, adding that one of the drones was shot down while trying to hit a nuclear power plant.
