Eighteen paramilitaries were killed and three others seriously wounded in an attack in Balochistan in southwestern Pakistan on Saturday, police and local officials told AFP.

A police source said a vehicle carrying ‘unarmed Frontier Corps paramilitaries’ near the town of Mangochhar ‘came under fire from between 70 and 80 armed assailants blocking the road’.
