An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale struck Dwi Island in Maluku province, eastern Indonesia, today.
The Indonesian Geophysical Agency reported that the epicentre was 68 kilometres northeast of Dwi Island at a depth of 105 kilometres, and there have been no reports of human or material damage from the earthquake.
