Russian President Vladimir Putin has sacked the head of the country’s space agency, Dmitry Rogozin, the Kremlin said on Thursday .
The decree ordered Rogozin’s dismissal “from the post of Director General of the Roscosmos State Space Agency”.
Rogozin will be replaced by Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov, AFP reported.
During his five years in office, he was unable to halt the decline of Russia’s space industry.
