The three Baltic States—Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania—have officially severed their connections with the Russian energy grid as part of a security plan aimed at integrating with the European Union’s network.

Today, network operators announced the disconnection of their electricity systems from the BRELL grid, which includes Russia and Belarus.

This strategic move comes in response to the escalating tensions following the Russian-Ukrainian war.
