Iranian authorities closed schools and offices in at least 10 provinces on Sunday due to a severe cold wave, which has led to increased energy consumption.
The closures affected provinces such as Lorestan, Semnan, and Gilan, following a similar closure on Saturday in over 20 provinces.
Tehran also experienced heavy snowfall, with some areas receiving up to 30 cm, disrupting traffic and closing roads in 25 provinces.
Authorities have advised citizens to avoid traveling to these areas over the next 24 hours.
