Ukraine says it has shot down 61 Russian drones

The Ukrainian air force announced today that its defences shot down 61 drones launched by Russia last night.

The Air Force said in a statement that Russia attacked Ukrainian airspace overnight with 83 drones, targeting several regions including Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Bryansk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and noted that its defences managed to shoot down 61 of those planes, while 22 others disappeared from radar screens.

Russia and Ukraine trade claims of downed drones on an almost daily basis.
