German authorities on Thursday announced the ‘foiled’ plot to attack a reception centre for asylum seekers and the arrest of a 21-year-old suspect.

According to AFP, prosecutors and police said in a statement that powerful explosives were seized from the suspect after authorities were tipped off that he was ‘planning to carry out an attack on a temporary shelter for asylum seekers’ in eastern Germany.
