Kremlin: Preparations for Putin-Trump summit could take months

The Kremlin said on Thursday that “no decisions have been made” on when and where to hold a meeting between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, adding that preparations for a summit between the two presidents could take “months”.

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov stressed that working contacts between Russia and the US will be expanded in the coming days and weeks, noting that Russia considers the US to be the key player in negotiations on Ukraine.

No decisions have been taken yet, neither at the working level nor at the highest level… Of course it will take time to prepare such a meeting. It could take weeks, it could take a month, it could take several months.
