369 Palestinian prisoners released from Israeli jails in sixth prisoner swap deal

Israeli authorities today released 369 Palestinian prisoners in the sixth instalment of the first phase of the prisoner exchange deal with the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).

A bus carrying the Palestinian prisoners in the sixth batch of the exchange deal arrived in the town of Beitunia, west of Ramallah in the West Bank, while Palestinian prisoners from the Gaza Strip, or those who will be deported there under the terms of the deal, will arrive later.
The list announced yesterday includes 36 prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment and 333 Gaza prisoners arrested after 7 October 2023.

The release of a new batch of prisoners came after Hamas released three Israelis this morning as part of the sixth instalment of the first phase of the prisoner exchange deal.
